The standard in aeration is a stand-alone unit, like the classic Ryan aerators. One piece of equipment you can depend on to get the job done when you need it. Some models, like the new Z-Turf Aerator, feature add-on drop spreaders to make quick work of aerating and seeding.

When to Aerate

It's best practice to aerate in spring to prep for summer's heat and again in the fall to prep for winter's cold. Aeration allows proper oxygen and nutrients to easily circulate through lawn root systems to aid in combating both weather extremes.

The key to successfully aerating a lawn is properly working tines. If they are bent they won't properly create holes or eject the plugs. Likewise, worn tines reduce the depth they can reach which will make aerating useless.
