Hydro-Gear produce tres tensiones de resorte. Oro = 80 libras más ajustadas. Negro = mediano 60 libras. Plata = suave 40 libras. Los resortes se pueden cambiar, pero un resorte demasiado blando puede provocar que la bomba no regrese completamente a punto muerto y se atasque. Reemplazar un resorte más blando por un resorte más rígido puede solucionar el problema de que la bomba se atasque.
