AE Outdoor Power was founded by Wyatt and Liz Jans, who built their business from hands-on experience in commercial mowing. Starting in the field themselves, they grew AE into a trusted equipment and service provider across Iowa—earning respect through hard work, entrepreneurial spirit, and a deep understanding of what professionals need to succeed.

Now, that legacy continues under the Russo banner. AE's Hiawatha location has merged into Russo's existing branch at 1215 N Center Point Rd, Hiawatha, IA 52233—formerly Midway Outdoor Equipment—creating a stronger, more resourced operation to serve the greater Cedar Rapids market. AE's Davenport location at 5401 N Brady St, Davenport, IA 52806, now operates as Russo Outdoor Power Plus, expanding Russo's reach into the Quad Cities market.

Due to a land sale, AE's North Liberty location has closed. However, customers in that area will continue to receive full support from Russo's Hiawatha and Davenport teams, backed by Russo's business development and fulfillment resources. Wyatt and Liz Jans will continue to operate AE Outdoor Power independently, focusing their efforts on serving and growing the greater Des Moines market.
